Job Description The Franco Dragone Entertainment Group is currently seeking an Assistant Head of Aquatics for its show in Macau “The House of Dancing Water”.
The Assistant of Aquatics will be responsible for assisting the Head of Aquatics in leading the aquatics team to ensure the safety of all individuals working in and around the Dragone Aquatheatre pool, install, maintain and operate systems and procedures related underwater activities in a safe and consistent manner for the House of Dancing Water in Macau; the incumbent also runs Aquatic department show tracks. Maintain a safe working environment by conforming to all established departmental safety policies and procedures; participate and assist in providing training all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training. They will assist in managing all underwater technical operations, department budget and oversee emergency and contingency plans for shows and training sessions, Coordinate staffing and training of training and show cue tracks. Support the creative team with patience and understanding throughout the rehearsal process to integrate changes and ongoing development of the show. Oversee regular and long maintenance of all Aquatics equipment, compressor systems and underwater scenic elements (as needed). Manage the integration and training of new artists and dive technicians into the Dragone Aquatheatre pool. Document maintenance and inspection logs, updates show cue tracks, employee attendance and performance records. Assist with the purchase and maintenance of all diving equipment. Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances. Fulfill the role and duties of Head of Department in their absence. All other duties as assigned by the Head of Aquatics.
Qualifications Successful candidates must be a certified and current PADI Open Water Instructor in good standing. Must be CPR/First Responder Certified; possess the ability to make novice scuba divers and artists feel comfortable working in a aquatic environment. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have exceptional problem solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in leadership, safety and teamwork. Knowledge of PC based systems and MS Office software; Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours, Ability to withstand long periods of exposure to chlorinated water.
